The Superhero Show Show #414

Raising Dion is Still a Show?!?

The Taste Buds take a look at the new season of Raising Dion on Netflix!

All four Taste Buds come to the studio tonight, because what a special night it is! Raising Dion, Michael B. Jordan’s pet superhero project from Netflix makes its triumphant return! Wait…what does triumphant mean again? Oh…never mind. Use a different word there. The first season didn’t exactly light the world on fire, so a renewal was a bit of a surprise. Did the show lose its sophomoric tone in its sophomore year? Can the Taste Buds accurately review a show that’s so clearly designed for children? Wait…is it for children? All of those questions, and few of those answers, on this episode.

Then, the Taste Buds take a look at all of the other shows based on comics this week, including Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, Superman and Lois, Naomi, Peacemaker, Snowpiercer, and Resident Alien!

Finally, let’s take a trip back to X-TASmania! It’s part two of the Dark Phoenix Saga on X-Men: The Animated Series! Jean finally has full-blown Phoenix and is making things tough for both the X-Men and the Inner Circle! Luckily Wolverine is here to eat turkey legs and chew on turkey legs, and he’s all out of turkey legs, except for the one he has! Tune in to find out if Wolvie saves the day, if Beast can spin a guy on his legs, and if Cyclops is the stone-cold stud he always is! All of that, and more, on an all-new Superhero Show Show!

And Patreon members are also invited to a surprise party thrown for Mike!
