State of the Franchise

The Taste Budz discuss how the key franchises in film are performing. 2018 was doubtless a year in which franchises dominated the box office. Marvel seems to release a new movie every six minutes. There are so many Star Wars movies they had to make Disneyland bigger just to have enough room for all the extra dorks. Another one of those Fantastic Beast movies came out even though people have kindly requested that we no longer have to see those anymore. Or even think about them really. And remember how Amazon paid a capital-B Billion dollars so they could make a Lord of the Rings show? That’s a thing that happened y’all, and the gang talks about it on this week’s episode!
