It Doesn’t Bother Supergirl to be Courageous
The Taste Buds are checking in with Supergirl on an all-new Superhero Show Show!
With Mike still on vacation, and Cassie having no intentions to do the show with just Ryan, she makes a couple of calls this time. The first call she makes is Katelynn. Obviously. But she also reaches out to old-school guest and fan favorite David Lumb! What are they going to talk about during this momentous occasion? Why Supergirl, of course! It’s a been a million hot minutes since Kara was in the hot seat, so the Taste Buds check in one last time before her impending season finale to catch-up and see how things are going. Supergirl hasn’t been the strongest show after the last couple of seasons. Has this episode made a return to those fun and furious early days?
With the 400th episode of this podcast looming on them, Cassie and the Boyz have some housework to do as well. First up is the continuation of the Bracket 400, and it’s the DC portion! The kings of network television, the shows that are based on Detective Comics Comics have been the bread and butter for this podcast since its inception. Now it’s time to move on from 8 of them, in rude fashion. Can Supergirl move on the DC Elite 8? Or will they just take this opportunity to keep talking about how much they liked Watchmen? They’re also trying to get rid of all of the Shushies, and this week it’s Best Supporting Actor. Last year’s winner was one of the few non-Watchmen, with Luke Wilson’s Pat Doogan taking it down. Does he have what he takes to beat Watchmen during a year with no Watchmen? Probably.
All of that, plus reviews, updates, and discussions on every other television show based on a comic book, including Lucifer, Doom Patrol, Riverdale, Titans, The Walking Dead, What If…?, and Y:The Last Man. It’s our biggest podcast episode since last week, and it’s all here now!
