#479: Sweet Tooth Returns!

The Superhero Show Show #479

Sweet Tooth Returns!

The Taste Buds are checking out the first episode of Sweet Tooth, plus X-Men: The Animated Series, and more, on an all-new Superhero Show Show!

On an all-new, all-different episode of The Superhero Show Show, Cassie and the Boyz are diving in on the second season of Sweet Tooth. Reviewing the first episode for the podcast, the gang tries to remember where they left off TWO YEARS AGO. Gus has been locked up by the Last Men, along with a bunch of other hybrid children. He’s separated from Big Man, as the other children are separated from their mother. Meanwhile, the “worst villain on comic book TV’ makes his triumphant return, switching gears and accents with every scene.

Will the Taste Buds be able to figure out what’s going on in time for episode 2? Will they decide whether or not Dr. Singh is a good guy or a bad guy? And will they able to choose which hybrid kid gives them the most willies? Tune in to find out!

Then the gang heads to the Pull List to discuss new episodes of Titans, Gotham Knights, and The Flash, before deciding whether or not Superman would really let Lois die just to maintain the moral high ground, and then a classic game of “Who Said This Riverdale Dialogue!” The answer to all of them? Ryan! But before he said the lines, Riverdale characters said them.

Finally, the Taste Buds head to X-TAZMANIA for the second to last time! In an episode called Hidden Agendas, Sam Guthrie, aka Cannonball, is having problems in his mining town, because people who live in mining towns are usually very prejudice. Will the second-to-last episode be the second best episode of all time? Nope! But will it be watchable? Barely!

All of that, and so much more, on an all-new episode of The Superhero Show Show!

Also, don’t forget to:

While Americans overwhelmingly support the right of an individual to make their own decisions about abortion, unfortunately, that right is no longer protected everywhere in the U.S.

The Supreme Court overturned Roe versus Wade on June 24th.

Abortion is a basic healthcare need for the millions of people who can become pregnant. Everyone should have the freedom to decide what’s best for themselves and their families, including when it comes to ending a pregnancy. This decision has dire consequences for individual health and safety, and could have harsh repercussions for other landmark decisions.

Restricting access to comprehensive reproductive care, including abortion, threatens the health and independence of all Americans. Even if you live in a state where abortion rights are upheld, access to safe medical procedures shouldn’t be determined by location, and it shouldn’t be the privilege of a small few.

You can help by donating to local abortion funds. To find out where to donate for each state, visit donations4abortion.com.

If you or someone you know needs help, or if you want to get more involved, here are 5 resources:

1. Shout Your Abortion is a campaign to normalize abortion.

2. Don’t Ban Equality is a campaign for companies to take a stand against abortion restrictions.

3. Abortion.cafe has information about where to find clinics.

4. PlanCPills.org provides early at-home abortion pills that you can keep in your medicine cabinet. And five.

5. Choice.crd.co has a collection of these resources and more.
