The Taste Buds discuss the 2004 movie Before Sunshine. In this film, director Richard Linklater returns to characters Jesse (played by Ethan Hawke) and Celine (played by Julie Delpy) from Before Sunrise and shows us what happens years after the end of that film. How have the two characters reacted to falling in love in one night and then parting company, maybe to never see each other again? Does true romance have a chance in this crazy world or are we doomed by the mistakes of our past to limp, emotionally crippled, through the rest of our lives because of the errors of our youth? We can’t wait to find out!  Host Greg leads Mike and Ryan through discussions about the ennui experienced by Celine and Jessie and whether or not it is a specific 2004 brand of that emotion. Then the guys dig deep on end of the movie and what it means for our two heroes going into the future, and maybe what it means for us all going into the future. Plus, they peg the most iconic music of 2004 and get down on some delicious Before Sunset Trivia.
