The Taste Buds continue working on 2020 with Emma!
On a very special episode of Movie of the Year, Ryan takes Mike and Tompkins back into the crazy world of 2020. It’s time to start looking at the movies from this year, so we’ll spend the next couple of weeks with Emma, Color Out of Space, and I’m Thinking of Ending Things. Emma is the debut movie from director Autumn de Wilde, who herself has a name out of a Jane Austen book. The Taste Buds discuss how the new version plays in 2020, with special looks at the gender battles and the class battles of now and then. Plus, they go on a Shopping Spree inside of the movie, and do a Genre Blast, remaking all of Jane Austen’s books in different genres. It’s too much show!
