This week Mike talks to author Julia Walton about her debut young adult novel, “Words on Bathroom Walls.” The novel follows Adam, a high schooler with schizophrenia as he navigates the pitfalls of high school. Julia shares her journey as a writer with a depressing detour into the cubicle-filled word of insurance, and how becoming a mom made her a less precious writer. Plus she shares insights into the MFA world, and reads a chapter from the book!
