Century of the Year is where we take the 100 biggest pop-culture stories of the year and talk about each for one minute. Oh, we also take a shot of beer each minute. We cover the highs and lows of the most talked about stories of 2021. Remember Bean Dad? That happened in 2021! What a fun thing to get to talk about. I bet they are all that fun, the topics.
So answering what Century of the year is is the easy part, really. The hard part is explaining why we do Century of the Year. Why would we subject ourselves to the mental, and physical, strain that an endeavor like this puts on our aging bodies? And the answer is that we have a crippling addiction to pop culture.
We can’t seem to get through a day without turning to the calming, mind-numbing effects of sweet-lady popular culture. Sometimes the first thing we do is wake up and go to our secret place where we keep a little pop culture for emergencies and take a big swig of pop culture just to get our hands to stop shaking. But then we just want more pop culture.
