2020 was longer than any year had a right to be. As the ship of the world sank into the icy waters of the pandemic, Hollywood played on, delighting us and horrifying us in turn. But movies were not just meant to edify and entertain. No, they were made to jockey and compete, to be pitted against one another in gladiatorial combat until only one movie remained to even be considered. And by the time you’re done listening to this episode you will know 2020’s Movie of the Year.
